Have you ever known someone who could take you piece by piece through a part of the Bible and, by the time you were done, you really knew what God intended for you to know? Did you ever think that you could know the Bible like that, too?

But you could never do that—or could you?

Yes you can! Christian, God chose you before creation and preserved the Bible all these years just so you would have it. Would He stop caring now? You have the same Holy Spirit as those people you admire. And God is on your side—He wants you to succeed.

Try using Paul's prayer as you begin your study—personalize it and pray it for yourself. God loves to answer prayers like this!

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe.    (Eph 1:17-19)
