Follow the trail forged by Jesus Christ on His Upward Bound expedition to the ultimate summit – salvation and life eternal with our great God.

When: July 7th – 11th, 2025, 8:45 to 12:15 pm

Where: Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church – 114 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena MD

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

– Colossians 3:1 – 4

The Message

Each day our adventurers will learn about God through the Hikers Code.

  • Monday : Don’t Forget Your Map!
Jesus is our Great Guide and map-maker, He left Heaven and forged a path through sin back to the Ultimate Summit – the courts of Heaven with God the Father.

  • Tuesday : Know Which Way You’re Heading.
Jesus showed us what it meant to live a life oriented to God’s will. We can orient ourselves on our own journey with the Holy Spirit as our compass.

  • Wednesday : Take the Right Gear.
Jesus’ overcome many temptations along the way in His journey. As we follow His trail, we carry the same tools in our pack that He had- prayer and the Word of God. We can use these tools to overcome temptations as well.

  • Thursday : We cannot save ourselves.
Throughout His life, Jesus practiced dying to Himself that He might live for God. His ultimate sacrifice was His death on the cross, that He might accomplish salvation for us.

  • Friday : Head towards the summit — We are upward bound!
The Resurrection testified that Jesus had accomplished the goal of His journey, our redemption. He had done His Father’s will perfectly and won our salvation. We can rest assured that we will one day enjoy eternity with Christ in Heaven.
